Command discipline
into every ER:LC server.
Sparten handles moderation and server management for Roblox Emergency Response servers. Verification, AutoMod, escalating punishments, and a live audit trail all run through a single bot, so your staff aren't juggling five different tools.
Heads up: Sparten asks for Administrator when you add it. That's not us being lazy with permissions, it's what banning, kicking, timing out, managing roles, renaming channels, and everything else in the moderation suite actually requires under the hood. You can always double-check exactly what the bot can do from your server's Integrations settings, and nothing stops you from tightening its role afterward if there are specific things you'd rather it not touch.
Everything a serious ER:LC staff team needs.
From Phase 1 setup all the way to V6, Sparten covers onboarding, day-to-day moderation, and long-term accountability, all inside one database-driven system.
Moderation Suite
Ban, kick, warn, timeout, and softban, each one with optional durations, DM notices, and a public "Situation #N" record staff can reference later.
AutoMod
Five independent rules cover invites, links, GIF spam, mass mentions, and message spam, and each one carries its own punishment and threshold you set yourself.
Verification & Captcha
A persistent verification embed with an ephemeral image captcha challenge and automatic role granting on success.
Welcome System
Custom join messages with placeholders, a member-count button, and an automatic "Sparten Staff" badge for recognized staff.
Reaction Roles
Button or emoji-reaction role menus with per-message snapshots, so later edits never retroactively change a live message.
Reports
Private member-to-staff reports with attachments, a reason modal, and two-click "Concluded" / "Under Review" resolution.
Global Audit Log
One channel logs native Discord changes, every /config update, and /say usage, so nothing happens off the record.
Affiliate Network
/affiliate opens a short form and posts a formatted listing crediting whoever submitted it. The whole network grows one server referral at a time.
Server Stats & Activity
/serverstats shows live member/bot/boost counts; /activitycheck posts a click-to-count "Active" prompt with optional pings.
Built specifically for ER:LC, not bolted on.
Sparten started out as a simple Phase 1 config system. Over time it grew into a full moderation stack, and every command, log, and escalation rule now routes through the same core, so nothing slips through a side door.
- Database-driven /config built with Components V2
- One moderation pipeline for manual and AutoMod punishments. Warn (2), timeout (3), softban (4), kick (6), and ban (8) all add to the same running total, with an automatic permanent ban once someone hits 12 points
- Ban-evasion heuristics that run on every new join
- Prefix commands (!, w!, ?, .) alongside native slash commands
- Runs on Node.js 22.5+ with a local SQLite database, so there's nothing extra to host or pay for
Staff are recognized the moment they join.
One role list in /config decides who's staff across the whole server. It gates commands and gives staff a visible badge the moment they show up.
On the welcome message
Recognized staff get an automatic badge button the moment they join a server running Sparten. Nobody has to tag them manually.

Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of terms
By adding Sparten to a Discord server, using its commands, or interacting with it in any way, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you're setting the bot up on behalf of a server, you're confirming you have the authority to do so and that you accept these terms for that server as well.
2. What Sparten does
Sparten is a third-party Discord bot built for ER:LC communities. It provides moderation tools, AutoMod rules, a verification and captcha system, welcome messages, reaction roles, reporting, an audit log, and related features described on this site. We can add, change, or remove features at any time as the bot develops.
3. Server owner responsibilities
Server owners and staff are responsible for how Sparten is configured and used within their own server. That includes setting appropriate permissions, deciding who counts as staff, and making sure the bot's automated actions (bans, kicks, timeouts, and so on) reflect what the server actually wants.
4. Bot permissions
Sparten requests the Administrator permission when it's added to a server. This isn't optional dressing, features like banning, kicking, timing out members, managing roles for verification and reaction roles, and renaming itself for Premium branding all require permission levels that Discord groups under Administrator. You're free to edit Sparten's role after inviting it and remove specific permissions, but doing so may break the features that depend on them, and we can't guarantee the bot will work correctly if its permissions are altered from what's granted at invite time.
5. Premium features
Some features are limited to servers with Premium enabled. As of right now, Premium isn't a self-serve purchase. It's granted at our discretion by the Sparten development team on a case-by-case basis, and can be revoked at any time, including for violations of these terms or Discord's own rules. We don't guarantee that any specific premium feature will exist forever, though we'll do our best to give notice before removing one that's already in wide use. Nothing here entitles a server to Premium status, and being declined or having it revoked isn't something we owe an explanation for.
6. Acceptable use
- Don't use Sparten to harass, threaten, or target other users or communities.
- Don't attempt to exploit, reverse-engineer, or abuse bugs in the bot to bypass moderation or gain unauthorized access.
- Don't use the bot in a way that violates Discord's Terms of Service or Community Guidelines.
- Don't resell, rebrand, or redistribute Sparten as your own product without our written permission.
7. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or remove Sparten's access to a server, or limit specific features, if we reasonably believe the bot is being misused. Where practical, we'll try to warn a server's staff first, but urgent cases (abuse, exploitation, or harm to other users) may be handled immediately.
8. No warranty
Sparten is provided "as is." We work to keep it reliable, but we don't promise it will always be available, bug-free, or perfectly accurate in every moderation decision it makes. Automated systems occasionally get things wrong, and staff should treat Sparten's output as a tool, not a final authority.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent allowed by law, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Sparten, including lost data, lost members, or moderation actions taken by the bot on your server's behalf.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Sparten grows. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "last updated" date. Continuing to use the bot after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
11. Contact
Questions about these terms can be sent through our support server.
Privacy Policy
1. Overview
This policy explains what data Sparten collects when it's added to a Discord server, why we collect it, and how you can request changes or removal. Using Sparten means you're okay with the practices described below.
2. Data we collect
To run its moderation and management features, Sparten stores a limited set of information tied to your server, in a local database rather than anything cloud-hosted by a third party. That includes:
- Server, channel, and role IDs saved through /config, so features like welcome messages, verification, AutoMod, and reaction roles know where to run
- Discord user IDs involved in moderation actions, including bans, kicks, warns, timeouts, softbans, and each member's running points total
- Moderation history and "Situation #N" records, including reasons and durations set by staff
- A record of previously banned usernames per server, used only to flag likely alt-account evasion when someone new joins
- Report, suggestion, and feedback submissions, including any text or attachments a member chooses to include, plus which staff member handled a report
- Verification and captcha completion status, and reaction-role selections tied to a published message
- Basic command usage needed for AutoMod thresholds, like recent message and mention counts tracked over short windows so spam rules can trigger correctly
We don't collect passwords, payment information, or the content of private messages outside of what someone directly submits to the bot through its own commands, forms, and buttons.
3. How this data is used
Data is used strictly to run the features you've configured, things like enforcing AutoMod rules, keeping an accurate audit log, calculating punishment points, and letting staff review reports. We don't sell this data, and we don't use it for advertising.
4. Where data is stored
Sparten stores server data locally in a SQLite database rather than sending it to third-party analytics or ad platforms. Access to that database is limited to the people who operate and maintain the bot.
5. About the Administrator permission
Sparten requests Administrator access when it's invited to a server. That permission controls what the bot is allowed to do inside Discord (ban, kick, manage roles, and so on), it isn't a data-collection setting on its own, and having it doesn't mean Sparten reads or stores every message in your server. See our Terms of Service for more on why that permission level is requested.
6. Data retention
Moderation records and audit logs are kept for as long as your server continues using Sparten, since that history is part of what makes the accountability system useful. If Sparten is removed from a server, associated configuration data is deleted on a rolling basis; moderation history tied to individual users may be retained longer where needed for abuse prevention across servers (for example, ban-evasion detection).
7. Your rights
If you're a Discord user who wants to know what data Sparten holds about you, or you'd like specific records corrected or removed, you can reach out through our support server. Server owners can also request a full export or deletion of their server's configuration and history at any time.
8. Children's privacy
Sparten is not directed at children under the age required by Discord's own Terms of Service, and we don't knowingly collect data from users who don't meet Discord's minimum age requirements.
9. Changes to this policy
We may revise this policy as Sparten's features change. Updates will appear here with a new "last updated" date, and continued use of the bot after an update means you accept the revised policy.
